Is Nanny Training Required?  Many people seeking to work with children as nannies and babysitters often ask the question, "do I have to become certified as a nanny in order to work as one?"  Well in response we ask, 'do you need to be certified in CPR in order to perform it if someone is not breathing?'.  Of course not!  However, who would want to perform CPR without having the proper skills, training, confidence and professionalism to deliver the most life-saving support?.  The unfortunate reality today is that child care is not deemed as important and the thought is that anyone can be a nanny.  Even if it were true, would everyone make a good nanny, or better yet, a great nanny?!  A skilled, trained, professionally nanny who has received formal training and online or onsite nanny training would surely be a first choice in caring for ones child.
