Is the Class for LPN’s or RN’s? Yes. The classes are NOT medical classes and are not designed medical professionals and the class will not certify you to work in a hospital setting. MTAN's classes are early child care classes designed by licensed early child care educators with the assistance of medial professionals. Will I Learn Everything in One Day? We believe learning should be continuous as it is impossible to learn everything about child development in one session, however you will certainly learn key essentials and most common needed tools for working with young children from newborns, infants, toddlers and preschoolers. Over the years, we've found the 1-day intensive class to be the most effective, especially for those who cannot take out a lot of time in their schedule. A great number of topics will be covered and the most important points will be highlighted. The classes also provide materials that can be used after the class for review purposes. It is a jam-packed and eventful day full of lecture, hands-on demonstrations, videos and presentations which will surely leave you more knowledgeable and confident in your professional child care abilities than you were when you walked through the door. I Already Have My Own Children, Will this Class Benefit Me? Definitely! It is great that you have your personal experience and will make the class very interesting for you. Many of our students have their own children but they continue to learn things they didn't know. It is never too late to continue learning, especially as child care studies show that things have certainly changed over the years. When do I register? Class space is limited and on first come first served basis. In addition, materials including certificates are ordered in advance so each student must be registered prior to the day of the class. We recommend early registration which can easily be done online or over the phone.
Who are the Instructors? The class is a non-medical class and is designed for the layperson caregiver. The instructors include experienced, child care educators, medical professionals, and CPR instructors and have various skills & experience within the child care industry and various child care program involvement and association memberships.
