PROGRAM FORMAT & TIMELINE
How long does the program take?
Online Program:
Complete in as little as a few days or take up to 4 weeks. Learn at your own pace.
In-Person Class NYC:
One full-day intensive workshop (9:30AM – 5:30PM) with hands-on training and instructor-led support.
What’s the difference between the online program and the in-person class?
Both pathways lead to the same professional Newborn Care Specialist certification and follow the same curriculum and training standards. The online program offers flexible, self-paced learning from home, while the in-person NYC masterclass provides a one-day immersive classroom experience. Students consistently love both options.
How do I access the online program?
After enrollment, you’ll receive: login access to your student portal on the date your session begins and a mailed student kit with hands-on practice tools. You can complete lessons from any device. A larger screen is recommended for the best learning experience.
Is CPR included?
Yes. Infant CPR, choking, and emergency response training is included in both formats. Child CPR & Choking is included if you add the Infant-Toddler Program. Online students complete CPR via interactive video training and testing. In-person students receive live CPR instruction during the workshop. Already CPR certified? This serves as an important life-saving refresher.
INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS
Can I take this program if I live outside the U.S.?
Yes. We certify students worldwide, including Canada, Europe, the UK, South Africa and the Caribbean. International students outside the U.S. and Canada receive digital certification packages and materials.
IN-PERSON TRAINING
How often are in-person classes offered?
Our NYC masterclasses are held a few times per year. Due to high demand and limited seating, enrollment is by application only so early registration is highly recommended.
Do you offer training in other cities?
Our in-person workshops are currently held exclusively in New York City, and some students travel to attend our signature weekend training. For those unable to attend in person, most students choose our online certification program, which offers the same curriculum and training materials with the flexibility to learn from home. We also offer limited private group trainings by request for organizations or teams interested in hosting an on-site training in their city.
